Method of Ayurvedic treatment:

During the Ayurvedic treatment, one must follow the correct way of treatment as per given by the qualified persons who are practicing Ayurveda (science of life) for well being of the entire world.
The four basic steps of Ayurvedic treatment are given below.
1)   Nidana parivarjana (Avoid the causative Factors)
2)   Application of Upakrama (Metabolism Enhancing Therapy)
3)   Application of Chikitsa sutra (Line of Treatment)
4)   Prakriti sthapana (Reset of Body Constitution)

1) Nidana parivarjana: (Avoid the Causative Factors):
‘Nidana’ means ‘the causative factors’ (which producing the disease) and ‘parivarjana’ means ‘to give up’. This is the first and foremost treatment of any disease. As per Ayurvedic literature (in sanskrit language) it is called as,
निदानपरिवर्जनं एव चिकित्सा।
The causes on which the disease stands (disease become more powerful), one must give up all the causes.

If the diseased person is not giving up all the causes either in the form of diet or the regime, the disease will not be cured. One should stop consuming ‘Don’ts’ (given on the home page ‘ayurvedic lifestyle/diet plan) at least.

On the other hand, the diseased person has to start the diet and regime which are having exactly opposite properties from the disease. One should follow the Do’s (given on the hope page ‘ayurvedic lifestyle/diet plan) at least.

According to Ayurveda,
पथ्येसति गदार्तस्य किमौषधं निषैवणै।
पथ्येअसति गदार्तस्य किमौषधं निषैवणै।।

Means one who follows the ‘Pathyas’ (suitable diet and regime, according to Daily regimen & Seasonal regimen) has no need of any medicine (because by this means, one can maintain his health thoroughly without having any medicine even if he/she becomes ill). On the other hand, one who does not follow the ‘Pathyas’ should never go for any medicine (because he will never get benefit of health even after having treatment).
